Clumsy
I don’t deny that I’m clumsy, in fact extremely clumsy at times. I would walk happily and trip few minutes later. Given my size, it doesn’t improve my clumsiness one bit. So now that I’m pumped and back in the groove of things when it comes to photographing my toys, this happens …
Arghh, I was busy spring cleaning the study room cum studio of mine and I sat on the chair, rolled it backwards, forgetting that my camera is mounted on the tripod with the lens and it went timberrrrrrr. I’m obviously pissed at my clumsiness but I’m also so damn thankful it wasn’t my 24-70mm f2.8 lens because if that happened, I’m soooooo screwed!
So it looks like I’ll have to buy another 50mm f1.8 or give it a skip and go for something else. This is one of the best and most useful/value lenses I’ve seen so far so I guess there’s no harm getting a replacement. It’s also quite strange that the 50mm f1.8 also feels a bit like a toy lens rather than a real lens, but that’s just because it’s very light versus the rest of them. I think it’s around S$300? Money out of the pocket again …
